Online stores
An AI chat widget for your online store
Shoppers ask about shipping, returns and sizing before they buy. GroundedChat answers from your own policy pages at any hour, and says so when your policies don't cover a question.

Questions it can take
- How much is shipping to Germany, and will I pay customs?
- Can I return a sale item?
- Which size should I order if I'm between two?
- Can I change the delivery address after I've ordered?
What you give it
- Shipping and delivery policy
- Returns and refunds policy
- Size guides
- Product sheets and care guides
PDF, Word, PowerPoint, images, plain text and Markdown, up to 25 MB each. Add Q&A pairs for the questions you want answered word for word.
Why GroundedChat
Answers you can stand behind
Answers from your policies, not the web
It answers only from the documents, Q&A pairs and snippets you give it. Each transcript lists the documents behind the answer, so you can check it against your own policy.
No made-up delivery promises
When your policies don't cover a question, it replies with your fallback message instead of guessing, and the question lands on your list of questions it couldn't answer.
Leads from shoppers who are ready to buy
Ask visitors for their contact details in the widget, then follow up from the Leads tab.
Works on Shopify, WordPress and Webflow
Allow your store's domain and paste one script tag. The widget runs in its own frame, in your colors and with your logo.
How it works
Live in an afternoon
- 1
Upload your policies
Add your shipping, returns and sizing documents as PDF, Word, text or Markdown, up to 25 MB each. Write Q&A pairs for the questions you get every day.
- 2
Try it, then publish
Ask the draft anything in Preview. Shoppers only get the version you publish, so edits never go live by accident.
- 3
Paste it into your store
Allow your store's domain and paste one script tag before the closing body tag. It works on Shopify, WordPress, Webflow or hand-written HTML.
Live demo

Questions, answered
Does it work with Shopify?
Yes. The widget is one script tag that you paste into your theme. It runs in its own frame, so your theme's styles can't break it and it can't break your theme.
Can it look up an order or track a parcel?
No. It answers from the documents you give it and doesn't connect to your orders. Describe how to track an order in your shipping policy, and it tells shoppers that.
What if a shopper asks something my policies don't cover?
It replies with your fallback message instead of guessing, and the question appears under “Questions it couldn't answer”. Add a document, a snippet or a Q&A pair, publish, and it knows next time.
